Cutters’ baseball is BACK! The summer fun begins on Thursday, June 2 when the Cutters host the State College Spikes at 6:35pm for Opening Night 2022 presented by UPMC & WILQ. Cutters Introduce Updated Game Times for 2022
The Williamsport Crosscutters have announced updated game times for the 2022 season. All Monday – Saturday games will begin and 6:35pm. Sunday’s will feature a 4:05pm first pitch. The only exception is the game on Sunday, June 12 which will begin at 6:05pm. Main gates open 1 hour prior to all games.
Cutters Announce 2022 Promotional Schedule
The Williamsport Crosscutters have announced their 2022 promotional schedule. Promotional highlights include:
– Fireworks on June 4, June 18, July 2, July 16, July 25 and August 13.
– Gem-a-Palooza on June 10 with over $1,500 in gemstones rings given away
– Ed Ott Night on June 17 featuring bobbleheads for the first 1,000 fans
– Entertainment by Tyler’s Amazing Balancing Act (June 30 & July 1)
– Baseball Hall of Fame Night on July 23. Every inning some lucky fan will win a baseball autographed by a Baseball Hall of Famer

Cutters Unveil Great Potato Caper Merchandise
This season, the Crosscutters commemorate the 35th anniversary of Dave Bresnahan’s Great Potato Caper. Bresnahan created baseball history using a POTATO in a trick play for the Williamsport Bills in 1987, leading to worldwide publicity that continues to this day. To celebrate, the Williamsport Crosscutters will be rebranding to the Great Potato Capers for the August 31 game. The first 1,000 fans attending the game will receive a limited-edition “Potato Ball”. Special Great Potato Caper jerseys, all featuring Bresnahan’s name, will be available to fans in an online auction.
As part of the celebration, the team has introduced exclusive Great Potato Caper merchandise including t-shirts, caps, sweatshirts and more. The limited-edition merchandise is available in the Sawmill Team Store and online at crosscutters.com.
Cutters Honoring Military Heroes in 2022
The Williamsport Crosscutters are honoring local military heroes during the upcoming 2022 season.
The program, called Military Salute, is presented by EQT and will honor a veteran or active-duty military member in pregame ceremonies at every Cutters home game this season.
To nominate your military hero, simply fill out the short online nomination form available at
crosscutters.com. Those chosen will receive:
– 4 tickets to the selected game
– A $25 Cutters gift card
– Recognition on the field prior to the game & ceremonial 1st pitch honors
– Nominations will remain open until all 40 available spots have been filled.
Annual Cutters 5K Race Set for June 11
The Williamsport Crosscutters, in partnership with Hope Enterprises, will be holding the Annual Cutters 5K on Saturday, June 11 at Muncy Bank Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field. The event is sponsored in part by Eder’s Ice Cream, Hamilton Patriot, Horizon FCU, Lamar, Muncy Bank & Trust, iHeart Media Williamsport, Woodlands Bank, the UPMC Health Plan & the Williamsport Sun-Gazette
The race, through Williamsport’s West End, begins at 9am with registration open at 8am. The course has runners starting outside the ballpark entrance with the final sprint around the field on the stadium’s warning track. Both runners and walkers are encouraged to take part in the event. All proceeds from this year’s event benefit the Hope Foundation.
Registration is $25 per person. All participants registering by May 27 are guaranteed a free a race t-shirt. Online registration is available at FalconRaceTiming.com (click on REGISTRATION).
