The desire to escape the office is all too common during the busy workday. The Covation Center, a business coaching and coworking space in Downtown Williamsport, is excited to offer a day away from the office at Brandon Park on May 27.
The event will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, May 27.
“Getting out of the office, or the home office, can serve as the energy you need to get new ideas, solve old problems, or just become more energized,” said Dr. Steve Brady, executive director of the Covation Center. “What better way to do that than working outdoors, with others also working, and sharing ideas!”
According to a 2018 Work and Outdoors study, 87% of indoor workers consider themselves someone who enjoys the outdoors. But 75% of indoor workers surveyed rarely or never take time to work outside.
Through their CoWorking in the Park event, they want to give you the opportunity to take your work outside.
The day in the park will provide quiet space in nature while offering free internet to keep you productive during the workday. Participants may choose to cowork for the day, but small business owners and managers will also have the opportunity to grow their business through a selection of free workshops offered throughout the day.
The day’s workshops are:
– Business Strategy: Finding your vision and mission
– Understanding your business financial statements
– Business Mindset: How to Create a Quarterly Plan that you won’t ignore
– Marketing
Opportunities for free 1-1 business coaching will also be provided.
Don’t worry about lunch. Food will be available to purchase from delicious local vendors such as Real Taste and The Mad Griller. Complimentary Alabaster Coffee will also be available.
