Let us get MOO-ving for June is Dairy Month!

It is with great pleasure that we introduce you to our Lycoming County Dairy Maid, Katelyn Taylor of Allenwood. Katelyn will serve in the role of Dairy Maid for the next year. She is a very outgoing and a goal-driven young lady with a bright future. She has served our Dairy industry for many years and just maybe one of these days she will step into the Lycoming County Dairy Princess role! But until then allow us to share some highlights about her passion for the industry. Katelyn takes care of her dairy animals nearly daily along with many other farming details. She goes to high school full-time and has taken some college courses as a sophomore in high school, and will be taking college classes in addition to being a junior at Montgomery High School in the fall. She loves to raise and develop dairy animals with the hopes of making the next one better than the one born prior. She has had the opportunity to show her animals locally, throughout the state, and even in other states throughout the country. Katelyn is very active with her Centre County Dairy Bowl team where they have won at state competitions and placed 2nd in the Nation last summer. So as you can see she is a very active, outgoing young lady and all we told you about was her dairy involvement, and even that we kept to a minimum!

Katelyn is available to come do informative presentations, activity’s, participate in a parade, dip ice cream, or play Dairy Bingo, just give Becky a call at 570-279-6757 or Laura at 570-560-0324. Until then, we hope you are MOO-ved to drink whole milk as it is 97% fat free, eat more Dairy products, at least consume 3-A-Day to support our local dairy farmers. June 4th is National Cheese Day and July is Ice Cream Month, who knows what she might offer for these special Dairy-lious days/month!
