Wesley Travis Minier, 36, of Hughesville, died Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at his home.
Born January 27, 1984 in Williamsport, he was a son of Jay W. and the late Betty Marie (Fry) Lore.
Wes was employed with Fry’s Gas & Oil Company, Hughesville, for over 20 years. He was a loving father who enjoyed hunting, fishing, participating in the demolition derby, and above all, spending time with his children.
Surviving, in addition to his father, Jay Minier and step-mother, Lois Charles, are a daughter, Alexa M. Minier; a son, Carter Starr; a sister, Rebecca A. Minier of Lairdsville; a brother, Nathan A. (Jackie) Minier of Unityville; two step-brothers, Lynn B. Charles and Jerry H. Charles, both of Hughesville; two nieces, Kiah A. Minier and Kaylee N. Minier; a nephew, Rowdy F. Rine; maternal grandmother, Reba P. Fry of Hughesville; his beloved dogs, Honey and Baby; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In addition to his mother, Wes was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Floyd S. Fry Sr., and paternal grandmother, Lenna Minier.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water Street, Hughesville, with Rev. Cinda J. Brucker officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Hughesville. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions to McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home for the benefit of Wesley’s children.
