Vera L. Gresh, 89, of Turbotville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 23, 2024.

Born May 24, 1935 in Muncy, she was the daughter of the late Oscar S. and Ruth M. (Johnson) Lorow. She was married to Richard E. Gresh for 37 years until his death August 5, 1990.

She loved being a homemaker and baking, canning, and picking strawberries.

She was a member of the Fairview Church of the Nazarene where she was involved with their Bible study and nursery. She loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are three sons: Earl L. Gresh and his wife Diane of Bloomsburg; Kenneth E. Gresh and his wife Robin and Gene L. Gresh and his wife Cindy, all of Exchange; four daughters: Linda L. Hetrick and her husband Russell of Turbotville; Deborah K. DeWald and her husband Mike of Exchange; Beatrice L. Shaner and her husband Steve of Lairdsville; and Sara M. Cutchall and her husband Jerry of Danville; 29 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren, numerous great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Lee Lorow and his wife Jane of Eagles Mere; and two sisters: Eva Yocum of Lairdsville and Patsy Karn of Millville.

Preceding her in death besides her husband was a son, Richard E. Gresh, Jr.; three brothers: Lester, Kenney, and Buckie Lorow; and six sisters: Evelyn and Ruth Lorow, Peachy Huntington, Dolly Brehm, Florence Betz, and Rody Utt.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10 to 11:00 AM on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Brooks Funeral Home and Cremation Svc, PC, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM with Pastor Tony Cruise officiating. Burial will follow in Exchange Cemetery.
