Thomas L. Fetherbay, 71, of Dushore, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at his residence. Born October 19, 1954, he was a son of the late Donald and Helen (Hartford) Fetherbay.
Thomas was a graduate of Sullivan County High School, Class of 1972. He went on to study at the former Williamsport Area Community College, where he worked to become an electrician. After successfully completing his studies, Tom moved to Philadelphia where he worked as a union electrician at Temple University for over 20 years. Upon retiring, Tom relocated back to his native Sullivan County. Here he enjoyed retired life, and spent it with family and his many, many close friends.
His larger-than-life personality and tremendous sense of humor made him a beloved figure in the lives of many. Tom had a gift for storytelling, sharing tales that were just as entertaining as they were true. His stories always captivated those lucky enough to hear them. You couldn’t spend time with Tom without laughing. He truly was one of a kind.
Tom cherished the moments he spent with family and countless friends and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
Surviving is a nephew, Jerrod (Mary Elise) Nolan of Dushore; and three grandnieces, Kaitlin, Penelope, and Emmeline Nolan.
In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his sister, Dianne Nolan; brother-in-law, Jack Nolan; and a nephew, Craig Tourscher.
In accordance with Tom’s wishes, there will be no services.
Arrangements have been entrusted to McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, Dushore.
