We remember today Terry Lee Burns, 72, who passed away peacefully at his home in Montgomery, PA, on August 20, 2020. Born on February 1, 1948, to late Lloyd Burns and Betty (Slack) Burns of Sunbury, PA. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Debra (Stock) Burns; brother Tom Burns and wife Jane (Kuchar) Burns; his four children: Bethany Harvey and husband Peter Harvey, Christa Burns, Seth Burns, and Jahd Burns; and his four grandchildren: Elizabeth, Annalise, Gabriel, and Makayla Harvey.
Terry was a graduate of Shikellamy High School and Bloomsburg University and held degrees in physics and chemistry. He taught science at Warrior Run High School for 36 years and physics at Pennsylvania College of Technology. He served as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War era.
Terry is remembered as a loving father and husband, a master of quick wit, a Montgomery Area High School varsity soccer coach and for his “zucchini delights.” His humor and presence will always be missed by those who had the privilege to know him.
