Teresa R. Staib, 89

Teresa R. Staib, 89, of Williamsport went to be with her Lord on July 20, 2025 at The Williamsport Home.

She was born in Collumsville, PA on November 25, 1935, a daughter to the late William C. Sr. and Martha C. (Fischer) Waldman.

Teresa was a graduate from St. Mary’s High School, Class of 1954. She married David P. Staib on November 13, 1954, and went on to celebrate 29 years together before his passing on August 8, 1983. She was a homemaker and later retired from many years of working at Shop-Vac in 1997.

Teresa was a former member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish where she was highly active and served as a eucharistic minister and assisted with church dinners. She was a current member of St. Boniface Church. She volunteered as a driver for Meals on Wheels and enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by their children, David P. (Rita) Staib Jr. of Pottstown; Diane (Michael) Rodgers of Duboistown; Joan (Donald) Shade of South Williamsport, Michael (Alice) Staib of Evans, GA; Robert (Connie) Staib of La Grange, KY; and Jacqueline (Stephen) Kaestner of Kathleen, GA; 14 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; Sisters-in-law, Vera Waldman and Pauline Waldman.

In addition to her husband and parents, Teresa was preceded in death by her siblings and their spouses, Emil (Wilhelmina) Waldman, John Waldman, Vincent (June) Waldman, Herman J. Waldman, Cletus G. (Frances) Waldman Sr., William C. (Lily) Waldman Jr., Sister Cletus Waldman SCC, and Mary Magdalene (Dean) Anderson, as well as grandson, Timothy Don Beasley.

The family will receive friends and family from 8:45-9:45am in the church prior to Mass.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Wednesday July 30, 2025 at St. Boniface Church, 326 Washington Blvd., Williamsport PA 17701, with Rev, Glenn E. McCreary officiating.
