Stephen J. “Steve” Branosky, 77, of Dushore, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born November 16, 1947, in Camden, NJ, he was a son of the late Joseph and Claire (Gerard) Branosky. Steve enlisted in the United States Navy on September 30, 1966, where he served his country faithfully as a Communications Technician Interpretive Petty Officer 3rd Class until his honorable discharge on August 6, 1970.
Steve and his wife of 51 years, Connie, shared a wonderful life together having married on June 2, 1973. Stephen was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed hiking, carpentry and woodworking, baseball, and spending time with his family. He was employed as an Electrical Technician for over 30 years for PSE&G. He was a member of the St. Basil’s Parish choir, Knights of Columbus, and the American Legion Loyalsock #966.
In addition to his wife, Connie, he is survived by three children: Laura (Chris) Fletcher, of Liberty Lake, Wash., Andrea Branosky Phebus, of Mildred, and Steve (Becky Novorro) Branosky, of Mountainside, N.J.; seven grandchildren: Calvin, Wyatt, Amelia, Adeline, Jude, Meadow and Wren; four brothers: Joseph (Sandy) Branosky, of Carneys Point, N.J., Michael (Elizabeth) Branosky, of West Deptford, N.J., Andrew Branosky, of Paulsboro, N.J., and John Branosky, of Paulsboro, N.J.
Mass of Catholic Burial will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2025, at St. Basil’s Church, 101 Churchill St., Dushore, with Monsignor Robert Wargo officiating. Burial will follow at St. Basil’s Cemetery with a combined local/active military accord providing honors.
