Stephen C. Pardoe, 74, of Dushore, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital.

Born September 19, 1949, in Towanda, he was a son of the late Carl and Marguerite (Driscoll) Pardoe. Stephen was a 1967 graduate of Sullivan County High School and attended Williamsport Area Community College. Steve married his wife Shirley on June 24, 1977. He was a logger and worked for many area lumber companies including McCarty-Driscoll Sawlog, Higley Lumber, both of Estella, and retired from Shaffer’s Sawmill, Dushore. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with family and friends. He was a member of the Broschart Lodge Hunting Club. Steve enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren and watching a good football game.

Surviving in addition to his wife Shirley, are three daughters, Stephanie (Edward) Sykes Jr., of New Albany, Sylvia Pardoe (Ryan Davis), of Norfolk, VA, and Sandra Pardoe, of Dushore; grandchildren, Cassandra, Troy, Malcolm, and Maeve Davis, Wyatt and Faith Fowler; three brothers, Brice (Lois) Pardoe, of New Albany, Lester (Scarlett) Pardoe, of Forksville, and Shelley Pardoe, of Dushore.

In addition to his parents, Stephen was preceded in death by a sister, Fay Pardoe.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the New Albany Baptist Church, 166 Main Street, New Albany, PA, with Rev. Terry R. Van Horn officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the memorial service.

Services are entrusted to McCarty-Thomas Funeral Homes, Dushore.

The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions to the Forksville Volunteer Fire Company, 158 Main St., Forksville, PA 18616, or to the Sullivan County 4-H, 9219 Rt. 487, Suite A, Dushore, PA 18614.
