Stanley A. Harman, 79

Stanley A. Harman, 79, of Williamsport was surrounded by family when he went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 29, 2020.

Born March 23, 1940 in Duboistown he was the son of Helen (Waltz) Ludwig and step-father LaVern Ludwig.

Stanley graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 1958. He served in the U.S. Army and belonged to the VFW Post 7863 in Duboistown. Stanley was also a member of Maple Springs United Methodist Church in Linden. Stanley enjoyed the outdoors and loved spending time with his granddaughters.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Shirley(Roller) Harman, whom he married on June 18, 1965; two daughters, Donna Harman (Robert) Rearick, of Williamsport and Sue A. (Todd) Kelley, of Williamsport; six granddaughters, Ashley and Courtney Snyder, Jordan, Kendall, Sydney, and Peyton Kelley, all of Williamsport; two sisters, Hazel Gee, of Williamsport, Martha Miller, of Linden, and one step-sister, Doris (Dick) Free, of Williamsport.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Alvin Harman; step-brothers, Dale, Kenneth and Glenn Ludwig; and step-sister, Pearl Barnes.

A funeral service to honor the life of Stanley will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 1 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street, Williamsport. Burial will follow in Buchanan Cemetery, with military honors accorded by the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County. A viewing will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at Sanders Mortuary.
