Shirley A. (Miller) Temple, 74, of Hughesville passed away, Monday, January 29, 2024, at UPMC Williamsport.

Born July 3, 1949, in Muncy, she was a daughter of the late Russell “Pete” and Virginia “Virgie” (Allen) Miller. Shirley was married to the late Glenn M. Temple on February 8, 1971, and shared 52 wonderful years together before his passing on September 5, 2023.

Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, taking long walks, crocheting, and loved animals.

She is survived by four children: James (Anita) Temple of Muncy, Jeanette (Doug) Koch of Milton, Karen (Brian) Hair of Williamsport and Keith Temple of Muncy; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, a sister Connie Charles of Missouri; and a brother Dearl Miller of Williamsport.

In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Allen.

Graveside services will be held privately in Lungerville Christian Cemetery, Unityville, with Rev. Robert W. Rice, officiating.
