Sheryl L. “Sherry” Johnson, 52, of Muncy, died Friday, January 12, 2024, at UPMC Williamsport. She was the wife of Jayme D. Johnson and were on June 26, 1999, celebrating 25 years together.

Born September 4, 1971, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of John Coulston and Donna (Loudenslager) Barto. Sheryl was employed as a beloved bartender at various businesses in the area including the Muncy American Legion and Highland Lake Manor to name a few. She cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Sheryl was an active member of the Muncy American Legion Auxiliary and volunteered many hours there.

Surviving in addition to her husband and parents are three sons, Matthew Coulston, of Pittsburgh, Christopher Coulston, of Hughesville, and Tristen Johnson, of Muncy; a daughter, Helena Johnson, of Hughesville; s stepson, Matthew (Ashley) Horner, of Vanceburg, Ky.; four grandchildren, Cameron Horner, Tyler Coulston, RoseLee Coulston, and Benjamin Coulston; a brother, Dane (Audra) Coulston, of Maumee, Oh.; a step brother, Randall Barto, of Muncy; and a step-sister, Barbara (Perry) Haldeman, of Hughesville.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Ronald Barto, and a grandson, Julian Coulston.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, January 21, 2024, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St. Hughesville, Pa., with Pastor Jerry L. Uppling officiating. Friends may call from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
