Scott Cameron Carl, 57, of Williamsport, passed away Friday, July 12, 2024, at his home, with his family, after battling prolonged illnesses.
Born on May 21, 1967, in Allentown, he was the son of Ann Louise (Kneibler) Fazler and the late William Terry Carl. Scott graduated from Hughesville High School, class of 1985. He went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army and after his service, he followed his passion and became a chef in the food industry. Scott had a great sense of humor and was always putting others before himself. Scott was very charismatic, loved telling jokes and always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed sports, often playing basketball and baseball or cheering on his favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also liked bowling, shooting pool, and fishing. He loved spending time with his family, playing video games and making pot holders.
Along with his mother, Scott is also survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Theresa (Leiby) Carl; three children, Carrie, MaKayla, and Cameron Carl; four step-children, Jennifer Hanner, Amanda Craver, Winston and Angel Hall; six grandchildren, Payton, Aaliyah, O’Kysia, Iziah, Amayah, and Zavayah; a sister, Heather E. Grossnickel (Gerald), and many extended family members.
The family will hold a memorial service to honor the life of Scott, on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at 7 p.m., at Pine Run Bible Church in Linden. Scott will be honored along with his step-father, Karl D. Fazler, who preceded him in death on Thursday, July 11, 2024.
