S. Ray Clark, 94

S. Ray Clark, 94, of Williamsport, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2026 at Leighton Place.

He is finally reunited with his wife, Dorothy V. (Fridley) Clark, who passed away December 10, 2007.

Born August 23, 1932, in Salladasburg, he was a son of the late Clyde E. and Margaret J. (Willits) Clark.

Ray was a 1950 graduate of Williamsport Area High School and is a proud United States Navy veteran. He spent his career at Textron Lycoming before retiring in 1994.

Ray was a life member of VFW Post 7863, a member of the Bower-Decker American Legion 251, was a life member and past president of the Republican League, and was a member of the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County. He also enjoyed hunting in his younger years, and playing poker with friends and family.

Ray is survived by two sons, Timothy D. Clark (Andrea), and Gary R. Clark (Judy), all of Williamsport; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by two daughters, Jackie L. Diehl and Robin K. Thornton; as well as a granddaughter, Tiffany Diehl.

A private graveside service to honor Ray’s life will be held at the convenience of the family at Wildwood Cemetery.
