Ruth E. Reed, 92, of Montoursville, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Valley View Rehab and Nursing Center.
She was born on March 12, 1928, in Williamsport, the daughter of Jered and Lulu Belle (Schone) Quigel.
Ruth attended Emmanuel Baptist Church, enjoyed her bible, raised great-granddaughter, Ashlee Merifield, helped daughter, Pat with freezing and canning in the summer. Enjoyed walking and spending time with her dog, Tooties.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald M. Reed; Brother, Jered; daughter, Patricia Berger; and a granddaughter, Valeria Berger.
Surviving is a daughter, Barbara A. (Joseph) McGee, of West Melbourne, FL.; four grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service Monday, December 14, 2020 11:00 a.m. in Montoursville Cemetery.
There will be no public visitation.
Arrangements are being handled by Spitler Funeral Home, Montoursville.
