Ruth A. “Gobby” Fulmer, 79, of Muncy Valley, died Friday, March 22, 2024. Ruth married Wayne L. “Sonny” Fulmer on March 17, 1959. Together they celebrated 59 years of marriage, until his death February 9, 2019.

Born June 18, 1944, in Laporte, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Mary Gunther. Ruth was employed at the Sullivan County School District.

Surviving are two daughters, Dawn (Steve) Myers, of Muncy Valley, and Denise (Theodore) Thomas, of Montoursville; grandchildren Mark Woodhead, Rachael (Benjamin) Hoover, Leah Thomas, Elizabeth (Russell) Double, Samantha (Robert) Barto, and Chelsea (Matthew) Blair; and numerous great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Fulmer Jr.; a daughter, Donna Fulmer Shur; and a grandson, Michael Woodhead.

In keeping with Ruth’s wishes, services will be private at the convenience of the family.
