Rusty Lee Kurtz, 59

Rusty Lee Kurtz, 59, of Lock Haven, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021 at his home.

Born January 25, 1962, he was the son of the late Marlin F. and Judith E. Miller Kurtz.

On October 30, 1987, he married the love of his life, the former Patricia A. Watkins, who survives.

Rusty was employed at Kwik-Fill of Mill Hall for several years and had also worked at Belles Springs Golf Course and as a bartender at the Lock Haven 40&8 club.

Rusty was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and of NASCAR, rooting for Dale Earnhardt until his passing. He also loved to play poker and enjoyed sitting around his fire ring at his home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother, Shawn (Stacie) Kurtz of Lock Haven; two sisters, Cathy Andrus and Becky Saxton, both of Avis; a brother-in-law, Roy “Jr.” (Cathy) Watkins of Lock Haven; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Coco and cats, Sassy and Daisy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Kurtz; and two brothers-in-law, John Andrus and Alvie Saxton, Jr.

A Celebration of Rusty’s Life will be held at a later date.

Rusty’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the many caregivers who gave their love and attention to Rusty over the past several years.
