Roxi Lynn Ross, 65

Roxi Lynn Ross, 65, passed away peacefully with the love of her family by her side, on Monday, March 23, 2026, at UPMC of Williamsport.

Born on May 4, 1960, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late, Richard L. Mayer, Sr. and Betty L. (Hammerstein) Mayer. A proud graduate of Williamsport Area High School in the class of 1978, Roxi quickly became known for her endless work ethic. She contributed many years to the family business, Mayer’s Cafe Tavern, and worked as a seamstress for Wundies until they closed. She later displayed the same dedicated work ethic at Shopvac until a stroke in 2011.

Roxi’s interests painted a picture of a woman who celebrated the simple pleasures in life. She relished in the drama of her favorite TV shows, “General Hospital” and “Days of Our Lives,” and cherished the quiet moments sunbathing. Her caring nature extended to both family and her love for all animals, especially her cats, Sassy and Princess.

A mother, sister, and “MeMe”, Roxi is survived by her three loving children, Brandon Dunkleberger (Madalyn), Brittany Almeida (Edward Hinds), and Cortney Ross (Howard Hinds); a step-daughter, Jennifer Almeida; twelve grandchildren, Jaxon, Maverick, and Jeweleen Dunkleberger; Cole, Deitrick, Atticus, Olivia, Sydney, and Edward Hinds, Jr.; Kai and Cora Michaud; and Kristopher Ross. She is also survived by her brother Richard L. Mayer, Jr. (Deborah), and sisters Cindy L. Young and Sherry Bernstine.

A memorial service to honor Roxi will be held 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave. Williamsport. A visitation will be prior from 5 p.m. until the time of service on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Roxi’s name to the American Stroke Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692, and/or the Lycoming County SPCA, 2805 Reach Rd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
