In the loving arms of Jesus and the heavenly angels, Rose Marie (Williams) Hively, our precious mom, quietly left our presence on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Oak Glen Nursing Home in Lewisburg. She was born in Allenwood on May 7, 1935, a daughter of the late Victor Sr. and Idilla (Jamison) Williams.
Rose married Howard G. Hively, Sr. and they were together for 25 years until his passing. She was Christian by faith and a loving homemaker to her husband and children. In her spare time, Rose liked to read and do crossword puzzles. When she was younger, she enjoyed taking walks and shopping.
Rosie leaves behind two sons, Galen Hively (Shannon) and Jeffery S. Hively; three daughters, Darlene Crane (Herman), Deborah Young (Dan), and Patricia Peck (Tim Sr.); 12 grandchildren, Jeffrey Crane (Jen), Daniel Young, Jr. (Janelle), Buck Nottingham (Corin), Jennifer Lechniack (Todd), Jillian McPeek (Jesse), Jamie Golden, Jennifer Nottingham, Joshua, Ashley, Timmy, Brooke, and Autumn; 15 great grandchildren, Jase, Rylee, Madison, Noah, Kadin, Ian, Dominic, Jerra, Victor, Alois, Jasper, Jubilee, Elijah, Oliver, and Adele.
In addition to her parents and husband, Howard, Rose is preceded in death by a son, Rev. Howard G. Hively, Jr., a grandson, Jason Hively, and five sisters, Ruth Fisher, Meda Reitmeyer, Frances Swanger, Katherine Edinger and Bertha Ferguson.
Family and friends are invited to attend a public viewing from 11am to noon on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, 500 W Fourth St., Williamsport. Immediately following the viewing, the procession to Allenwood Cemetery for the graveside service will begin.
