Ronald W. “Ron” Bower, 65

Ronald W. “Ron” Bower, 65, of Danville, peacefully passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at home with his family by his side.

Born September 10, 1958 in Lewisburg, he was a son of the late Richard S. and Joan A. (Maurer) Bower. On December 19, 1981 he married the former Lisa A. Kitka and together they have celebrated 42 years of marriage.

Ron was a 1976 graduate of Danville High School. He drove truck for most his life, and later retired from BRT, Milton after 25 years of service.

He was a member of the Continental and Good Will Fire Companies, Danville VFW Post 298, and Danville Moose Lodge 1133.

Ron enjoyed watching NASCAR races; and cheering on the Green Bay Packers, and Philadelphia Phillies.

He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren; as well as his two dogs, Trixie and Tucker.

In addition to his wife, Lisa, Ron is survived by two daughters, Trisha M. Knorr and her husband, Zachary, of Elysburg, and Angel L. Bower and her companion Thomas Langtry, of Danville; five grandchildren, Aiden, Connor, Brooke, Mason, and Brynlee; a brother, Roger (Shannon) Bower, Turbotville; three sisters, Shirl (Terry) Shultz, Delaware, Deborah (Jody) Miller, Arizona, and Clara (Mark) Oberdorf, Washingtonville; a sister-in-law, Deb Bower, Mt. Pleasant Mills; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Richard “Butch” Bower, and two brothers-in-law, Steve and Sandor Kitka.

A Celebration of Ron’s life will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024 at the Knorr Family Cottage, 35 Creekside Drive, Orangeville, PA 17859.
