Ronald L. Sellinger, Sr., 72, of Linden, a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025, at Watsontown Nursing and Rehab. Born on January 4, 1953, in Jersey Shore, he was the son of the late William E. Sellinger, Jr. and Doris (Wood) Sellinger.
Ronald’s early years were spent in the town of his birth, where he attended Jersey Shore High School, laying the foundation for a lifetime of learning and curiosity. His pursuit of knowledge continued at Williamsport Area Community College, where he furthered his education and prepared for a career that would be both fulfilling and impactful.
After college, Ronald dedicated himself to a career in electronics as a technician and worked for numerous companies including Halliburton and L3 Communications. His professional life was marked by a commitment to excellence and a passion for innovation. Ronald’s service to his country as an Army veteran was a source of great pride for him and his family, and it instilled in him a sense of discipline and honor that he carried throughout his life.
Ronald’s love for his family was the cornerstone of his existence. He shared 33 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Lisa (Paules) Sellinger. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Drake Sellinger (Jai’mie Terry) and Kassandra McGlynn (Richard, III), who were the light of his life. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory, sisters Diane Rothrock and Connie Pawlak.
A man of diverse interests, Ronald was an active member of the Lycoming Christian Church, where his faith and fellowship were an integral part of his life. His hobbies included target shooting, a pastime that allowed him to enjoy the outdoors. Ronald was also a gifted cook, creating hearty and comforting culinary creations that were eagerly anticipated by his family and friends. His hands were rarely still, as he found joy in tinkering and working on cars. He was fascinated with science and physics and could brighten anyone’s day with his funny personality.
Ronald L. Sellinger, Sr.’s legacy is one of love, service, and the relentless pursuit of knowledge. His memory will be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his spirit will continue to inspire those he has left behind. Ronald’s story does not end here, for he lives on in the hearts and minds of his family, friends, and all the lives he touched.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport, with burial to follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Lock Haven. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Knight-Confer Funeral Home.
