Ronald D. Thomas, 83, of Montoursville, passed away on, January 10, 2021, peacefully at Valley View Rehab and Nursing Center.
He was born on April 13, 1937, son of the late Arthur B. Sr. and Irsael (Fox) Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, the former Joyce Eberhardt on May 11, 2019; son, Gregory A. Thomas; brother, Arthur B. (Buzz) Thomas, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Myron Ellison.
Surviving is his daughter, Jana (Jimmy) Gottuso, of Trout Run; and two sisters, Margaret Ellison, of Montoursville, and Sharon (Gary) Pardoe, of Muncy.
Ronald was a pitcher on the Montoursville Area High School baseball team, was a passionate hunter, loved dogs, including his beagle and hunting for arrow heads. He also loved all things outdoors, birding watching, gardening and canning, along with, cooking, baking, and making jerky for everyone.
He was a Master Plumber and owner/operator of Thomas Plumbing and Heating Serving the community and surrounding areas and served as Montoursville Borough Council President from 1982-1990. Ron treasured his time spent with his friends, daughter, son-in-law, and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
