Robert G. Yost, 77, formerly of the Muncy Hills area, passed away, Friday, March 29, 2024 at Williamsport South Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Born January 16, 1947 in Bendertown, he was a son of the late Leland and Grace Yost. On July 17, 1970 he married the former Pauline A. Maciejko, and together they have celebrated 53 years of marriage.

Robert was a graduate of Benton High School. For over 30 years, he worked at PPL Montour Power Plant as an electrical engineer. He was a member of the IBW Electrical Group, and was proud to have built his own home.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, supported tree planting, and had his own shop at home, where he enjoyed doing woodworking and electrical projects. Robert was very proud of his son, David, who earned Sun-Gazette Person of the Year 2023, for his work as a chef.

In addition to his wife, Pauline, he is survived by his son: David J. Yost, of Williamsport; two brothers: Bryan Welsh, of Bendertown, and Sam Welsh, of Harrisburg; one sister: Grace Yost, of Bendertown; and an adopted daughter: Bridgette Snyder, of Muncy.

Besides his parents, Robert was preceded in death by two brothers, Bruce and Jack Welsh.

A graveside service will be held, 10:00 AM on Monday, April 15, 2024 at Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
