Robert F. Wagner, 80, of Williamsport passed away unexpectedly at home on December 19, 2024.

He was born in Williamsport on May 25, 1944, a son of Robert M. and Claire T. (Kranz) Wagner.

Robert attended the former St. Mary’s High School for 11 years and graduated from Williamsport High School. Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served from December of 1962 until December of 1965. He retired from the former Textron and had been active with UAW Local 787. An avid golfer, Robert was a long-time member of White Deer Golf Course. He also enjoyed bowling and could be found Tuesday nights at the Harvest Moon Bowling Lanes.

An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, was a member of U-NO Hunting Camp and found peace and serenity on the mountain. His family was the center of his life; his daughters and grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Robert was an active member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish.

His wife of 56 years, the former Karen R. Rummings, died November 7, 2024.

Surviving are his daughters and their families; Cecilia (Clarence “Bud”) Deitrich of Raleigh, NC, Cindy (Robert) Norton of Seven Valleys, PA; grandchildren, Zachary, Alexander, Christina and Jessica; sisters, Shirley Smith and Lois Betts both of Williamsport.

In addition to his parents and wife, a brother, Terry Lee Wagner and a sister, Carol T. Bower all preceded him in death.

Family and friends will be received at Crouse Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 133 E. 3rd St., Williamsport on Thursday, December 26, 2024 from 6 to 8 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, December 27, 2024 at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 702 W.4th St., Williamsport with his Pastor, Rev. David W. Bechtel officiating with burial to follow at St. Boniface Cemetery.
