Rachel Dawn Kauffman, 42, Mill Hall, PA, born August 30, 1978, in Fairfax, VA to Paul and Naomi (Beachy) Petersheim, entered her eternal rest on November 12, 2020. In her teens she was baptized upon her confession of faith in Jesus Christ, and continued faithful to the end.

On September 20, 2003, she was united in marriage to Vincent Rene Kauffman, son of Marvin and Rosanna (Yoder) Kauffman. They recently celebrated their seventeenth anniversary.

In addition to her parents Rachel is survived by her husband Vincent; four children: Josiah (13), Clarita (12), Hans (11), Kaitlyn (5); three brothers: Matthew (Diana) of Kalona IA, Michael (Melissa) of Salisbury, PA and Joshua of Broadway, VA; two sisters: Rebecca (Kevin) Coblentz and Deborah Petersheim, both of Oakland, Maryland; and six nephews and nieces.

Rachel was a devoted wife and mother. She will be remembered as a very caring person, and will be deeply missed by a wide circle of friends. She faithfully supported her husband’s ministry at the Bald Eagle Boys Camp, and as one camper put it, “She was a mom to everyone, and everyone liked her. I am so sorry.”

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 11 A.M. at Blanchard Church of Christ, 161 Beach St., Blanchard, Pa 16826. Interment will be at Salem Mennonite Church Cemetery in Leon, Iowa on Tuesday, November 17, 2020.

Friends and family will be received at the Blanchard Church of Christ on Friday from 4 until 8 P.M. and again on Saturday from 10 A.M. until the time of the service.

Memorial contributions in Rachel’s name may be made to the Bald Eagle Boys Camp through the funeral home.
