Phyllis Helen Chapman, 78, of Williamsport passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2019, after a short stay at Muncy Valley Skilled Nursing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth W. Chapman.
Born May 3, 1941, in Flushing NY she was a daughter of the late Phillip J. and Helen M. Josinsky.
Phyllis was a graduate of Bayside High School and worked as a home health aide. She was a member of the civil air patrol and neighborhood crime watch. Phyllis enjoyed playing bingo, crafts, and using her green thumb through her love of gardening.
Surviving are her children, Jonathon W. Konoski, of Williamsport, Patricia A. Konoski, of FL, Mary E. Konoski (Benjamin Slider), of Montgomery, Darlene S. Phillips (Calvin), of Marsh Hill, and Charlene L. Huff (LeRoy), of Williamsport; 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, John S. T. Kuhns, a brother, Kenneth Josinsky and her previous husband, John William Konoski.
A memorial service to honor the life of Phyllis will be held 4 p.m. Monday November 18 at Faith Wesleyan Church, 1033 Tucker Street, Williamsport with the Rev. Timothy K. Hartzell officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in Phyllis’s name to the Faith Wesleyan Church.
