Philip Harry Lorson, 83, of Montoursville, passed away on Jan. 13, 2025, at Heritage Springs Memory Care Senior Living Community.
He was born in Williamsport on July 19, 1941, the son of the late Harry P. and Helen E. (Strehle) Lorson.
He worked as a draftsman for Alcan Cable, retiring as a maintenance planner.
His wife of 38 years, the former Marion “Marilyn” Schellammar, passed away on Oct. 19, 2003.
He is survived by their daughters, Lori Ulmer and her husband, Scott, of Milton; and Denise Lorson of Mechanicsburg; his brother, John Jeffrey Lorson; and a very special caregiver, Maria Noviello.
In addition to his parents and wife Marion, Philip was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Lorson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 20, 2025, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 326 Washington Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701, with Rev. Glenn McCreary officiating.
The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the dedicated staff at Heritage Springs, as well as the UPMC Hospice Staff and nurses who helped to care for Philip over the years.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests that memorial donations be made to the Retirement Fund of the Sisters of Christian Charity at the Mallinckrodt Convent, 350 Bernardsville Rd., Mendham, NJ 07945.
