Patrick J. Leone, 70

Patrick J. Leone, 70

Patrick Leone put his “hell raising” days behind him on November 7th, 2023 at home with his devoted wife by his side.

Pat was born to Fred “Luigi” and Philomena (Lapriola) Leone on July 19th, 1953 in Williamsport, but Lock Haven was always his home. He was raised in a traditional big Italian family with many aunts, uncles, and cousins around Grandmom’s kitchen table.

Pat graduated from Lock Haven High School in 1971.

He spent the last 52 years of his life married to his high school sweetheart and best friend Carol (Duck) Leone. Together they have two daughters, Anna (Rob) Peddie and Michelle (Bill) Crowell.

Pat, also known as Pap Pap, took great pleasure in helping raise his three granddaughters; Jessica (Conner) Williams, Sarah (Shaun Levine) Peddie, and Maia Crowell, especially in their early years.

Throughout his 70 years, Pat worked various jobs, but one he was most proud of was the owner of Luigi’s Sub shop, home of the G-burger and the best strombolis. He was honored to serve as Deputy Corner. He made great memories coaching LHU kickers and being the team photographer. With his attention to detail, he served as Operations Director for Little League World Series volunteers, at PSU football opening the gates for the student section, and Pocono Raceway.

He was very generous with his time for the love of his community. Over his years he volunteered on many boards including Millbrook Playhouse.

Pat was a talented musician and photographer. He was at home behind a set of drums and spent more than 50 years performing for crowds with his bandmates from Stonehenge as well as with various other local musicians. His photos were often seen in the local papers and were published many times by the Associated Press.

In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by sister Margaret Hosley and brother Angelo (Sonja) Leone of Williamsport.

In 2016, Pat was the recipient of a kidney donation and became an advocate for organ donation. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his memory to Donate Life of PA, 204 Sigma Drive, Pittsburgh PA 15238

Family and friends will be received in the Gedon Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, LLC, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

A celebration of life For Pat will be announced at a later date.
