Oren L. Hornberger, 84

Oren L. Hornberger, 84 of Williamsport PA died on January 1, 2022, after a brief illness.

Oren was born on April 30, 1937 to Oren & Gertrude Hornberger, Williamsport PA.

Within months of high school graduation, he enlisted in the US Airforce which took him to far away places over the next 4 years.

Oren worked several different jobs in his career including 40+ years at E. Keeler Company/Tampella in various positions, and worked at Sears in the credit department. After retirement he worked at Lowes to keep himself busy.

He was a sports enthusiast and was the best at watching Sunday football games. Oren also participated in a few himself including playing in a competitive softball league into his 50’s and early 60’s.
October 6, 1989, he married Sandra (Fronk) and they enjoyed the last 32 years together and extended families.

In their spare time they enjoyed celebrating birthdays, holidays, weddings, etc. with their family. Oren also loved cooking his beloved hamburgers on the grill, and traveling the United States for visits to family & friends.

Oren was predeceased by his parents, his brother Richard, son-in-law Joseph Mazzante and step-grandchild Joshua Fronk.

He is survived by his wife Sandra, sister Shirley Lamping, Cincinnati OH, his children: Barbara (Peter) Keihm, Coatesville PA, Carolyn (Glen) Campbell, Birmingham, AL, Susan Mazzante, Montoursville, PA, Lisa (Jeffrey) Kontz, Jersey Shore PA, Julie (Chuck) Burns, Elizabethtown, PA; and step sons, Thomas and Seth (Jeanne) Fronk.

Oren is also survived by eight grandchildren, Erica Mazzante Rupp, Katlyn Mazzante, Tyler Campbell, Alexis Mazzante, Justin Kontz, Jared Maciejewski, Jordanne Kontz, Taylor Maciejewski, step-grandchild Renee Fronk as well as two great-grandchildren, Ezra & Ecko Kolb.

There will be a celebration Mass at St. Boniface Church, 326 Washington Blvd, Williamsport PA at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 6, 2022. A visitation will be in the church lounge from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers contribution’s may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Arrangements are being handled by Spitler Funeral Home.
