Olga Bryden, 96

Olga Bryden, 96, a longtime resident of South Williamsport, died Thursday, October 19, 2023 at the Williamsport Home.

Born February 6, 1927 in Steubenville, OH, she was a daughter of the late Stanco and Marie Medich. On October 20, 1957 she married A. James “Jim” Bryden, who preceded her in death on May 21, 2021. Together they celebrated 63 years of marriage.

Olga was a 1945 graduate of Wintersville High School, OH. She worked many years as a school lunch aide for Central Elementary school in South Williamsport.

Olga was a member of the former First Presbyterian Church, Williamsport.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Order of the Amaranth for over 50 years.

Olga enjoyed spending time with her family, reading and gardening.

Surviving are one daughter, Martha A. Bryden and her husband, David Tule, of Muncy; two sons, David J. Bryden, of Mechanicsburg, and Edward J. Bryden and his wife, Laura, of Hingham, MA; and two grandchildren, Sarah and Elena.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by nine siblings, Mildred, Helen, Mike, Paul, Louise, Lou, George, Sophie and Annie.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport.
