Mrs. Betty L. Langley, 93, passed away at The Gatehouse on Saturday, March 16, 2019.
She was born in Lockport, Pa., on March 25, 1926, to Mary Greth Seybold and George E. Seybold.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louie E. Langley Jr.
Betty worked in retail management until her retirement at the age of 80. Of the various places she worked, her longest management experience was with Dora Dale, a ladies clothing store.
She is survived by a son, Louie E. Langley III, his wife, Annette, and daughter, Mary, of Sudbury, Mass.; a son, Brent K. Langley, his wife, Cathy, and their children, Alexandria, Jacob and Samantha, of Dillsburg; and a daughter, Diane K. Langley, of Williamsport.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers, John, George and Richard Seybold.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested for the Salvation Army, which helped her family at Christmas when her home was quarantined for black diphtheria in 1932.
A viewing is scheduled at Crouse’s Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 21. A funeral service will be held at Christ Episcopal Church on the corner of Mulberry and Fourth Sts., at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 22. There will be a private burial at Wildwood Cemetery
