Michael Shawn Ferrara, 52, went to be with His Lord and Savior Friday, April 12, 2024 after having a heart attack Easter Sunday.

Mike was born in Lock Haven to Michael J. and Georgia R. (English) Ferrara on June 4, 1971.

He trusted Jesus as his Savior as a child. He attended Tabernacle Baptist Church, 911 W 3rd St, Williamsport where visitation will begin at 10, and memorial service at 11 on Tuesday, April 16, 2024. Mike had a love for studying the Bible, sharing the gospel, and seeing people saved. His favorite hymn was Great is Thy Faithfulness. Mike graduated from Lock Haven High School in 1989. He is survived by Toni, his wife of 33 years, marrying June 22, 1991. Together they raised and homeschooled three sons: Cody, Camren, and Kale; and 2 daughters: Cassie (Jesse) Shaffer, and Kayla (Zach) Lauchle.Mike was preceded in death by a son Christian Shawn. Also surviving are a sister Bethany (Phillip) Ford, and brother Gabriel (Silvia) Ferrara, Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and extended family.

Mike’s joy was his grandchildren: Catrina, James, and David Shaffer; and Bella, Brooke, and Rebecca Lauchle. Mike was employed 32 years by Niagara Bottling, and had a heart for helping the elderly. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years, was a Mets Baseball and Penn State Football fan. He was famous for his smoked cheese and fried turkey, and known for his poetry, and great sense of humor. He was loved by all who knew him and his life touched many lives. “The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.” Psalm 37:18
