Mary Elizabeth Walburn, 97, of Williamsport, died Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Valley View Nursing Center.
Born January 5, 1921 in Milton, she was a daughter of the late Frank P. and Mary Anna (Heddings) Cromley.
Mary had worked at Stroehmann Brothers Roll Plant and retired from Frito-Lay. She was a member of Balls Mills United Methodist Church and attended the Cogan House Community Church for the last 14 years. Mary loved traveling, fishing, reading, and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her daughters, Nancy (Clarence) Mathews of Liberty, Patricia (Harlan) Bower, of Trout Run, five grandchildren; Curt (Sherry) Mathews, Scott Mathews, Kevin (Judy) Mathews, Todd (Jill) Brooks, and Katrina Shimp, two step-grandsons Quint (Tricia) Bower and Aaron Bower, nine great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, four sisters; Florence Keister (Donald-deceased) of Mifflinburg, Betty Barrows (Bruce-deceased) of Milton, Aida Ruhl (Gene – deceased ) of Mifflinburg, and Thelma Day (Thomas-deceased) of Carlisle, and a brother; Wayne Cromley (Sandy) of Watsontown.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Harold G. Walburn on October 24, 1993 and a sister Pauline McKee (Jim).
A funeral service to honor the life of Mary will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Cogan House Community Church, 3782 Cogan House Road, Trout Run, Cogan House Twp. PA. Burial will be held at Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Church.
