Marlin D. Lilley, Jr., 78

Marlin D. Lilley, Jr., 78, of Cogan Station passed away at home on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on July 16, 1945 in Williamsport, he was the son of Marlin D, Sr. and Geraldine Regel Lilley.

After graduating from Williamsport Area High School in 1963, Marlin served his country in the U.S. Army. He owned several businesses including Homestead Garages and Pro Home Center. Marlin was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, VFW Post 7863 Duboistown, the Corvette Club and he served in the Susquehanna Builders Association. He enjoyed reading, gardening, the outdoors, writing letters to the editor and hanging with his 4 ½ year old best friend and grandson, Thomas Lilley (Rachael-mom).

He is survived by three sons, Marlin D. (Sabrina) Lilley, III, Williamsport, James D. (Cynthia) Lilley, TN, John R. Lilley, Williamsport; two, daughters, Monica L. (Michael) Mills, TX, Tawny L. Lilley, TX; two brothers, William (Doris) Lilley, Woolrich, Fred (Kim) Lilley, Procter; three sisters, Carol (Randy) McDermit, Lock Haven, Janet Bower, Cogan Station, Dorothy Hughes, Williamsport; nineteen grandchildren, (including his God daughter, Atalia); five great grandsons; and former wife and friend Sarah Rooney.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 10, 2024 at St Ann Catholic Church, 1225 Northway Rd, Williamsport with Father Shawn Simchock officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

Visitation will be held in the church, Monday, June 10, from 9 a.m. until time of the Mass.
