Mark Joseph Stabley, born Sept. 25, 1973 to Jack Ryan Stabley, Jr. and Joan Elizabeth Stabley, passed away Jan. 23, 2020 at his home in Williamsport.
Born in Camp Hill, Mark was a 1992 graduate of Williamsport Area High School and went on to earn a bachelors’ degree in building science and sustainable design in 2012.
Mark is survived by his loving mother and siblings, Andrew, Christopher, and Jean (Nik) Lenios, and predeceased by his father.
Like his father, Mark was an avid environmentalist and experienced naturalist who truly valued time out of doors. Mark enjoyed snowboarding, hiking and camping, mountain biking, fishing, and exploring nature. Mark was able to spend a considerable part of his life in Colorado and Vermont, states which were very well suited to his passion for the outdoors.
Mark had a love of animals that was apparent to all those close to him. He enjoyed regularly volunteering at Lycoming Animal Protection Society (LAPS).
Mark will be deeply missed by his family and friends, several of whom have confided that he was their closest friend.
The family will receive friends at Crouse Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 133 E. 3rd St., Williamsport on Thursday evening Jan. 30, 2020 from 6 to 8 p.m. with the Rosary recited at 5:30 p.m.
