Mark Arthur Tagliaferri “Tag”, 68

We sadly announce the passing of Mark Arthur Tagliaferri “Tag”, 68, of Loyalsock Township on May 14, 2025.

Born on October 9, 1956, to Adolf F. and Doris K. Tagliaferri (Schug). Mark graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 1975 and enlisted into the Army upon graduation. His duty stations were Fort Knox, Kentucky; Fort Carson, Colorado; and Bindlach, Germany over a span of four years.

Mark was married to his high school sweetheart Cheri Lee (Rosengrant). They would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on June 26, 2025. He is the father to Melissa (John) Stephens and Shannon (Jeffery) Walker. He is the Pappy to 9 grandchildren: Kailie, Ava, Morgan, Tyler, Devon, Brennan, Caden, Kaden, and Autumn.

Mark had a passion for softball and played since his daughters were little. He was a standout outfielder in the Williamsport Slow Pitch league at Elm Park playing for both The Rocks and Bull & Barrel teams. That passion continued as his daughters got older, but instead of playing, he started to coach. Over the years he coached many different teams and players on all levels. Mark was an avid fisherman and hunter, which he shared that love with his grandchildren. He was a huge Buffalo Bills, Notre Dame, and Cleveland Indians fan. Mark loved traveling with Cheri and attending his grandchildren’s events.

Mark will always be remembered for his humor and his passion for life. He had the biggest heart and the bluest eyes. There is nothing he wouldn’t do for his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

He was preceded in death by Adolf F. Tagliaferri (Father), Doris K. Tagliaferri (Mother), Charles W. Rosengrant (Father in Law), Arena L. Rosengrant (Mother in Law), and Charles W. Rosengrant JR. (Brother in Law).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to hospice to Susquehanna Health Foundation for the benefit of UPMC Home Care & Hospice, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport PA 17701 in Mark’s name, which are greatly encouraged.
