Marilyn Ann “Peach” (Markle) Krape, 80, of Williamsport, PA, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2025.
Known lovingly as “Peach”, she was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Daughter, Aunt, and Friend to so many. She would tell you, “All I ever wanted was to be a Mom”. All her life, Peach dedicated and sacrificed so much for her children, family, and friends. She overcame and persevered through many of life’s difficulties. This perseverance showed in her everyday life and work ethic, which was second to none.
She was the proud owner of “Peachie’s Court”, later becoming “Peachie’s”, a local business that she ran for nearly 20 years. Peachie’s was more than just a business – it was a gathering place for friends, laughter, and unforgettable stories. All those who visited, either friends or new visitors, knew instantly that she lived life with boldness, humor, and heart.
Peach was known for her immense love of all animals and her flair for fashion and high heels. She had a feisty, competitive spirit, whether it be playing cards, throwing darts, or tossing horseshoes. She cheered loyally for her Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Yankees. Peach believed, high and low, that “Mean Green cleans everything”. Strawberry desserts and raisin-filled cookies were always the right answer in her kitchen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold M. “Red” Markle, and Martha Jane (Rose) Markle; her siblings, Beverly Singer, Gary Singer, Cheryl “Cherry” Cochran, and her brother-in-law Terry Cochran; her beloved children, Lisa Marie (Reeder) Delaney, and Leon H. Reeder; and her longtime partner & companion, Tammy “Tam” L. Mitcheltree.
Peach is survived by her children, James (Buffy) A. Reeder, and Michael (Maria) W. Reeder; her grandchildren, Joshua (Carla) Delaney, Christopher (Rhonda) Delaney, Heather (Jordan) Reeder-Ward, Sydni Reeder, Benjamin Reeder, Isaac Reeder, and Liam Reeder; and her great-grandchildren, Caleb Delaney, Chloe Delaney, Jacob Delaney, Carter King, Landen Delaney, and Dalaynee King. She is also survived by her brother, Harold Markle Jr.
She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Peach’s larger-than-life personality, her laughter, and her deep love for family, will be forever missed and remembered. Her legacy lives on in the memories shared, the recipes passed down, and the hearts of those who loved her.
The family will soon announce a date of gathering, which will take place at the Crouse Funeral Home, 133 E 3rd St, Williamsport, PA, 17701, as well as a date and location for Peach’s Celebration of Life.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that a donation be made in Peach’s name to the Lycoming County SPCA, 2805 Reach Rd, Williamsport, PA 17701.
