Marian F. Horak, 87, of Williamsport died peacefully Monday, December 23, 2019 at the Gatehouse surrounded by her family.
Born June 27, 1932, in Scranton she was a daughter of the late Wilmer and Marion (Bryant) Francis.
Marian attended Scranton High School and Keystone College. She was an active member of Lycoming Presbyterian Church where she volunteered during dinners and other social events. Marian was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a charter member of the Newberry Lioness Club, volunteering immensely in her community. She enjoyed socializing and pampering others as an Avon consultant but one of her greatest accomplishments in life was raising her four sons with strong values and vast amounts of love.
Surviving are her sons, Kurt Horak (Gloria), of Williamsport, Brad Horak, of Williamsport, and Todd Horak (Mia), of Gambrillis, MD; 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and a sister, Jeanne LeClere, of Alexandria, Virginia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Warren R. Horak in 1990 and a son, David Karl Horak in 2016.
A memorial service to honor the life of Marian will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Lycoming Presbyterian Church, 825 Arch Street, Williamsport. The family will receive friends from noon until time of service at the church.
