Margaret “Peggy” Bower of Jersey Shore passed away Sunday, November 19, 2023 at the Gatehouse just shy of celebrating her 80th birthday.

Born November 20, 1943 in Williamsport she was a daughter of the late George R. Perry and Margaret E. (Reitmeyer) Newcomer, and a step daughter of the late L. Eugene Newcomer.

Peggy was a 1962 graduate of Williamsport High School. She worked at Wundies and after 43 years of employment retired from Delta Gala. A devoted family woman, Peggy’s greatest joy was spending time with her loved ones.

Surviving are her daughters, Lisa Bower of Jersey Shore and Yvette Graver (Thomas) of Montoursville; two grandchildren, Collin and Alyssa Graver; two sisters, Louise Jean (Ron) of Williamsport and Nancy Farhat of Phoenix, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service to honor Peggy’s life will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 22 at Knight-Confer Funeral Home 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at Knight-Confer.
