Lois E. Collins, 91, of Williamsport passed away surrounded by family Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Manor Care South. She was the loving wife of Harry M. “Pap” Collins who preceded her in death on January 28, 2003 after 60 years of marriage.
Born December 13, 1926 in Warrensville she was a daughter of the late Matthew D. and Helen M. (Stiger) Lundy.
Lois attended Williamsport Schools and was first employed by her parents at Lundy’s Meat Market. She later retired in 1989 from GTE Sylvania after more than 25 years of employment. Lois was a long time member of Trinity United Methodist Church and currently a member of Quiggleville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed bowling, making crochet lap ropes and blankets for nursing home residents and her family. Lois also enjoyed cooking and hosting Sunday dinners in her home and above all loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are her six children; Harry D. (Judy) Collins of Nisbet, Ronald L. (Kay) Collins of Montoursville, Glenn E. Collins of South Williamsport, Donna R. Epting of Mechanicsburg, Patricia A. (Wayne) Knapp of Williamsport and Robyn G. (Randy) Weaver of Loyalsock; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and another on the way; siblings, Edward Lundy of Linden, Clarence (Luella) Lundy of Loyalsock, Margaret Breisch of Williamsport, and Betty Connacher of Nevada.
In addition to her husband Lois was preceded in death by two sisters Grace Cohick, and Mabel McCloskey.
A memorial service to honor the life of Lois will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Quiggleville United Methodist Church, 2079 State Route 973 West, Cogan Station. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at church. Burial will be held privately in Green Lawn Memorial Park.
