Lee H. Trefsger, 79

Lee H. Trefsger, 79, of Leesburg, FL, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, June 27, 2025.

Lee was born on December 16, 1945 in Reading, PA to Eleanor & Russel Nester. He was later adopted by his step-father Allen Trefsger and moved to Turbotville, PA.

Lee graduated from Warrior Run High School in 1963. On August 12, 1967, he married the love of his life and best friend, Lynne Kay (Pick) Trefsger. They enjoyed 57 years together, traveling to 44 countries and 36 states. They also enjoyed collecting antique phonographs and pressing irons.

In high school, Lee was on the football, basketball and track teams. He won 1st place in Districts in the high jump and went to states, where he placed fourth.

Lee graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 1967, with a degree in Secondary Education and a major in Chemistry. He taught at Chopticon High School in Maryland, moved back to PA and taught Advanced Chemistry at the Williamsport Area High School. He later worked at Textron-Lycoming (Formerly Avco) in the Chem Lab & Metallurgical Lab, took additional courses and finished his career as Manager of Environmental Affairs. He was a member of several professional organizations.

In September of 2002, Lee and Lynne built their new home in Pennbrooke Fairways in Leesburg, FL and moved early in 2003. Lee enjoyed his time working on several committees in Pennbrooke before the travel bug bit again. He was currently a member at Community United Methodist Church in Fruitland Park, FL.

Lee is survived by his loving wife, Lynne, and his extended family (Lynne’s siblings) who became his siblings; Susan (Ron) Hartung, Jeffrey (Suzy) Pick; his step-sister: Shirley Robbins, and one beloved aunt: Gladys Cook; along with many beloved nieces and nephews and great-nieces & great-nephews.

He was predeceased by his Mother & Father; his two step-sisters: Mary Jane Heisler and Carol Martin; and Lynne’s brother: Larry Pick.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 10-11 AM on Wednesday, July 9, at Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc PC, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM with Rev. Erwin C. Roux, Zion Lutheran Church, Turbotville, officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park.

The family suggests that donations be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.
