Larry E. Harris, 77, of Wolf Township and formerly of Montoursville, died Feb. 13, 2019, at Geisinger Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 27, 1941, in Fairfield Township, a son of the late Charles F. and Josephine G. (Brown) Harris.
Larry retired from the former GTE Sylvania and was a Vietnam veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Muncy American Legion Post 268, and enjoyed his dogs, gardening, bowling, and loved coaching baseball.
Surviving are two sons, Larry E. (Erin) Harris, of Louisville, KY, and Eric S. (Kristina) Harris, of Little Elm, TX; a daughter, Kristie J. (Daniel) Wdowiak, of Mission Viejo, CA; two brothers, C. Fred (June) Harris, of Pennsdale, and Richard W. (Roberta) Harris, of Springdale, AR; and six grandchildren, Edward, Jacob, Lindsay, Caitlyn, Cole, and Tripp.
A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad Street, Montoursville. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park. A viewing for family and friends will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, at the funeral home.
A life celebration, for Larry, will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, at Muncy American Legion Post 268, 515 Legion Road, Muncy.
