Larry E. Bryson, 76

Larry E. Bryson, 76, of Montgomery, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, December 14, 2024, at UPMC Williamsport. Born November 26, 1948, in Watsontown, he was a son of William B. Bryson, Sr. and Marvine Sara (Phillips) Bryson.

Larry was the husband of Jean E. (Jacobs) Bryson, with whom he shared 53 years of marriage.

Larry loved spending time with his grandchildren, and playing games. He was an avid hunter. He enjoyed everything to do with family whether it was grandchildren or his nieces or nephews. He enjoyed watching his Cowboys play football as well as watching Penn State. He Also loved watching NHRA Top Fuel. If you happened to stop in to visit, he always had a smile and a cup of coffee waiting. He will be missed.

Larry is survived by his wife, Jean Bryson; sons, Keith W. (Megan) Bryson, of Watsontown, James W. (Renee A.) Bryson, of Elimsport; sisters, Jean Sellers, of Muncy, Connie (Ronald) Moser, of Montgomery, Mary Shoemaker, of Turbotville; brothers, Harry “Jim” (Winifred) Bryson, of Montgomery, Robert “Moose” (Charlene) Bryson, of Montgomery; granddaughters, Jessica, Kendra, Brooke Bryson; grandsons, Kaden, and Austin Bryson.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by sisters, Ann Wommer, Barb Kapp, Carole Bryson, brothers, Bill B. Bryson, Jr., Christopher Bryson.

Larry’s Life Celebration service will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, December 22, 2024, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St. Hughesville, with Pastor Rebecca B. Cuddeback officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
