Kenneth M. “Ken” Kibbe, 77

Kenneth M. “Ken” Kibbe, 77, of Williamsport died Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Valley View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Surviving is his loving wife of 27 years, Barbara A. (Tofani) Kibbe.

Born September 29, 1941, in Williamsport he was a son of the late William Kibbe and was raised by his mother Marjorie (Love) Kibbe and step father Eugene Kibbe.

Ken was a graduate of Williamsport High School and attended Lycoming College. He proudly served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam Era. Ken owned and operated Ken Kibbe Auto Mart in Montoursville for 23 years. He was the founder and former president of Lycoming County Independent Auto Dealer Association, a member of the Pennsylvania Independent Dealer Association and a board member of the Montoursville Area Federal Credit Union.

An outdoor enthusiast, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and was an excellent photographer. Ken was a devoted family man; he and his wife spent the last seven years in Maryland surrounded by his step children and grandchildren. Ken prayed that he was as great of a step-dad to his children as his step-father was to him.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Terri O’Neil (John), of Delaware, Kristi Lang (Daniel), of Arizona, Denise Miller (Rand), of Olney, MD, and Mark Kuhns (Susan), of Gaithersburg, MD; Nine grandchildren, Joshua Kuzo, of California, Jeremy Kuzo, of Delaware, Brenden West of Olney, MD, Madison West, of Olney, MD, Colar Kuhns, Haley Kuhns, Paul Kuhns, Michael Kuhns, and Reece Kuhns, all of Gaithersburg, MD; his sisters, Linda Kibbe, of Williamsport, Deborah Warren, of Watsontown, and Kandice Funk (Douglas), of Watsontown; and four nephews.

A memorial service to honor the life of Ken will be held 3 p.m. Friday, May 10 at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St. Williamsport, with Military Honors to follow. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Oregon Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 -3 p.m. on Friday at Sanders and again after the service during a time of fellowship.
