Kenneth Lee Glossner, 78

Kenneth Lee Glossner, 78, of Flemington passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at UMPC Susquehanna Lock Haven.

Born January 31, 1941 in Beech Creek, he was the son of the late Donald S. and Alice Peters Glossner.

In 1958 Ken graduated from Lock Haven High School and then attended Lock Haven University, earning his teaching degree. Later he received his Masters of Education from Penn State University.

Ken served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

On June 24, 1967 he married his love, the former Judy Viechnicki, with whom he celebrated 52 years of marriage.

Ken was a teacher for more than 30 years, having taught at Sugar Valley, Woolrich and Lamar Township Elementary Schools.

He was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church and attended Rote United Methodist Church.

Ken was a member of the Beech Creek American Legion as well as NEA, PSEA and LHEA.

He enjoyed hunting and golfing.

In addition to his wife, Judy Glossner of Flemington, he is survived by two children, Kelly Jo Glossner of Indian Head, MD and Kevin Jon (Shelley) Glossner of Royersford; two granddaughters, Kaleigh and Kaitlyn Glossner; and two sisters, Ruth Jackman and Janice Saar.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers: Gene, Robert, Bruce, Keith, William and Richard Glossner and four sisters: Shirley Confer, Phyllis Emenhizer, Doris Dixon and Vickie Rhoads.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 11 A.M. at the Moriarty Funeral Home & Crematory, 112 E. Church St., Lock Haven with Pastor Frank Hartzel officiating. Burial with Military Rites will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven.

Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 6 until 8 P.M.

Memorial contributions in Ken’s name may be made to Rote United Methodist Church through the funeral home.
