Karen R. Wagner, 79

Karen R. Wagner, 79, of Williamsport passed away on Nov. 7, 2024 at the Gatehouse while surrounded by her loving family. Karen fought courageously, without complaint, against numerous health issues.

She was born in Jersey Shore on Nov. 15, 1944, a daughter of Cecil and Louise (Peoples) Rummings.

Karen was a 1962 graduate of Jersey Shore High School; she had been employed at PA Wire Rope and retired from Springs Global in Montgomery. Karen was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, her favorite pastimes were reading and taking an occasional trip to the casinos.

Karen and her husband, Robert F. Wagner, celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on April 27, 2024, in addition she is survived by their daughters, and their families; Cecilia (Bud) Deitrich of Raleigh, NC, Cindy (Robert) Norton of Seven Valleys, Pa; grandchildren Zachary, Alexander, Christina and Jessica; sisters, Linda (Gary) McPherson and Gloria Ann (Glenn) Bliler both of Jersey Shore. Karen was supported by a large network of family, including nieces and nephews, who made life’s challenges more bearable.

In addition to her parents, her two brothers; Cecil “Fuz” and Norm Rummings preceded her in death.

The family will receive family and friends, Sunday evening, Nov. 10, 2024 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Crouse Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 133 E. 3rd St., Williamsport.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11, 2024 at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 702 W. 4th St., Williamsport with her pastor, Rev. David W. Bechtel officiating.

Burial in St. Boniface Church Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest a donation be made to a charity of your choice.
