June S. Armes, 85, of Forksville, died Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Rose View Center, Williamsport. June was the wife of Harley E. “Shorty” Armes and were married on September 23, 1961. Harley preceded June in death on September 7, 2001.

Born June 9, 1941, in New Albany, she was a daughter of the late George and Gladys (Sherman) Fassett. June was a graduate of the Loyalsock Joint High School, Estella, Pa. She was a member of the Forksville United Methodist Church, and a former member of the Forksville Fire Co. In the summer months, June enjoyed gardening and her flower garden.

Surviving is a son, Donald (Rita) Armes, of Forksville; two grandchildren, Christopher, and Cheyenne; three great grandchildren, Richard, Ella Jo, and Harmony; a brother, Benjamin Fassett, of Muncy, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, June was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Teeter, and Earl Fassett; and a sister Gladys “Mary” Richlin.

A graveside memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at the Forksville Cemetery, 34 Main Street Forksville, Pa., with Pastor Linda J. Renninger officiating.
