June M. Newcomer, 89, of Loyalsock Township, died on April 21, 2019, at The Gatehouse.
She was born June 7, 1929, in Williamsport, the daughter of the late Glenn W. and Naomi R. (Dreibelbis) McLees.
June worked as a supervisor for Bell of PA. She was a charter member of the Northway Presbyterian Church. She and her husband enjoyed traveling the country in their motorhome visiting all the states except Hawaii after which they bought a home in Barefoot Bay, Florida where they wintered for 20 years. She also enjoyed spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Anson L. Newcomer and her brother, Glenn McLees.
Surviving is her son, Larry S. (Abbie) Newcomer, of Williamsport; her daughter, Linda L. (the late William) Novak, of Spring Grove; her four grandchildren, Myrle Newcomer, of Williamsport, Anna Newcomer, of Williamsport, Mark (Diana) Novak, of Sparta, New Jersey, and Brett (Olivia) Novak, of Herndon, Virginia; and three great-grandchildren, Audrey, Claire, and Lyla.
A memorial service will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at Northway Presbyterian Church with Rev. Darlene Little officiating, 1520 Northway Road, Williamsport. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery. Friends will be received from 11:00 to 12:00 prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Northway Presbyterian Church.
