Joyce I. Puterbaugh, 75, of Unityville, died Thursday, April 2, 2026, at her home.

Born November 25, 1950 in Muncy, she was the daughter of the late Mervin and Doris (Ellis) Phillips. She married John W. Puterbaugh on Aug. 20, 1967 and shared 52 years of marriage.

Joyce was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Nothing brought more happiness than spending time with her family. She enjoyed canning, gardening, crocheting, drawing, playing bingo with her friends, and the outdoors. You would often find her sitting on the porch enjoying the beautiful scenery of North Mountain. Joyce would often reminisce about her many trips with family to Canada and Florida. Once widowed, she was blessed by a group of great ladies, the Red Hat Divine Divas, to fellowship with.

She is survived by a daughter, Lori (Ken) Fausnaught of Muncy; two granddaughters, Erin (Codey) Bomberger of Montoursville and Taylor Fausnaught of Muncy,a step-granddaughter, Lauren Fausnaught; two great-granddaughters, Rowan Bomberger, and Corah Bomberger; three brothers, Keith Phillips of Muncy, Paul (Betty) Phillips of Apollo Beach, Fla., and Danny (Sandy) Phillips of Muncy; a foster son, Michael (Bonnie) Snyder of Unityville and her beloved rescue dog, Greyson.

In addition to her parents and husband, Joyce was preceded in death by her brother, Kevin Phillips.

A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2026, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, with Patricia Gallery officiating. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions to The Son Light House, 130 Carpenter St., Muncy, PA 17756 and/or Empower Stride, 750 Susquehanna Trail Rd., Muncy, PA 17756.
